Hello Everyone,
Just an update of what we have done with the money we have rasied so far.
For those of you who have already contributed to the Ron Weigleb Foundation we would like to thank you for your donations. With the money that we have raised so far we have been able to pay for half of the sign. We still are in need of the other half of the money by the end of the month. So, for those of you who haven't yet contributed there is still time. If you are unable to donate at this time we understand and please pass this letter along to anyone else that may want to donate.
We have raised about $4,000 to date. Please think about how you can best contribute and send in those donations. If each one of us in this group would donate $50 to the fund we would reach our goal to pay for the sign and the plaques plus have some left over for our next project. Please give what you can and if you are in a postion to give more than this that would be great.

Ron Weigleb Foundation-UPDATE
This was posted as a message to members of the Facebook Group for the Ron Weigleb Stadium by Phil Lockhart today:
RON WEIGLEB FOUNDATION
Our Mission
The mission of the Ron Weigleb Foundation is to ensure the principals, values, and legacy of Coach Weigleb are carried on for the youth of our community. To accomplish this endeavor, the Weigleb family along with former coaches and players have formed a committee to fundraise and donate to the football stadium, football program and all other projects determined by the committee that best serve the wishes and memory of Coach Weigleb.
Finances
Donations should be made to the Ron Weigleb Foundation account at Republic Bank at Highlander Point. All money raised will be spent on projects directly related to the Ron Weigleb Stadium, the Coach Weigleb Scholarship, or other ideas and requests as they develop. Each committee member will be responsible for overseeing the spending and allocation of donated funds. All donations will be a charitable donation, please send Phillip Lockhart an email for Tax ID#.
Current Projects
Currently, the school corporation has approved the new stadium to be named “Ron Weigleb Stadium.” The field will keep its original name “Scott Field.” A sign has been designed for placement on the press box. In order to comply with conditions and constraints by the manufacturer of the press box, the design is RON WEIGLEB STADIUM and consists of 18” dark green letters, which will be back lit. The current design will be presented to the Weigleb family and must get final approval from the Floyd Central High School administration. The cost of the sign will be $8000.
Also, we have been asked to furnish two bronze plaques in honor of Coach Weigleb and the Scott family. The purpose of the plaques are to let people know and make them aware of the importance of these two people to the history of Floyd Central. The plaques will be approximately 22” x 30” and will have a brief description of the importance of these two people. Each plaque will have and engraved picture of each person. We hope to have the plaques available by the stadium dedication and eventually mounted to the brick columns at the entrance to the stadium. The estimated cost is $7000. The Scott Field will be dedicated at the first game against Clarksville and Ron Weigleb Stadium will be dedicated on the second home game against Providence. (This was coaches last request)
The above funds are needed as soon as possible so that work may begin and get done before the first game.
Future Projects
After the above stated projects have been completed, the foundation committee would like to erect a bronze life-size statue of Coach Weigleb at the new stadium. The estimated cost is $60,000.
The foundation will also begin sponsoring an annual golf scramble in October to raise money for the Coach Weigleb Scholarship Fund and other foundation projects such as the statue. More information on the location and date for the scramble will be available in the future.
